Flowrox in coal-fired power plants

Release date 05/31/2013

Coal-fired power plants are usually designed on a large scale for continuous operation; this puts pressure on the development of reliable processes. Flowrox heavy duty valves and pumps are an ideal option for challenging conditions encountered in various power processes. They have been used successfully in energy industry applications for several decades. Today, Flowrox has more than 4000 references in over 200 power plants globally and the number is increasing every moment. Flowrox products have proven their performance in difficult applications such as:

•  Coal preparation ( mills / pneumatic conveying)

•  Ash handling ( bottom/fly ash)

•  River water intake (grits/chemical dosing)

•  Flue gas desulphurization (lime/gypsum)

•  Waste water treatment (lime/sludge)

To achieve high process efficiency, it is very important to place the right equipment to the right application. Traditional valves and pumps are suitable for many general applications, but when it comes down to corrosive, abrasive and though conditions, choice really matters. In the long run, Flowrox products designed to stand these conditions will quickly compensate their own cost and provide actual value to the customer.
